Local working parent delivered an epic TEDx talk at the prestigious TEDxThisLady’sLivingRoom this Friday.
At 2 pm, Cassandra P. took to the unvacuumed rug in her living to vent. She starts with a quick story: “I went into my work meeting with a lot of expectations and I came out feeling nothing. I now feel nothing!”
The 2-minute speech left the audience (the dog) in awe of her radiance and charm as she recalled exactly what was going wrong that day.
“I should be skydiving straight into the ocean while livestreaming it! I should be making out with whatever a Timothy Challamet is! Should I be dating Pete Davidson? What am I doing with my life?!?!” she exclaimed.
As she paced up and down the living room, and then went to the kitchen for a quick snack of cheese and crackers, she kept thinking out loud for all to hear. It was obvious this wasn’t her first TEDxThisLady’sLivingRoom. Her spritely puppy seemed to think it was business as usual.
“Basically just waiting to see if she is going to drop any cracker crumbs or if she says ‘walk’ or ‘treat’" said the dog.
After some mumbling over possibly attending the community center’s Zumba class later that evening and quickly Googling “Timothy Challamet” and “Urban Dictionary GOAT meaning” and “Is 39 really that old” and “Life why”, Cassandra P. went back to her office for the next meeting.
“I still feel nothing!” she wailed as she logged into Zoom.
TEDxThisLady’sLivingRoom is actually a series that will take place once an hour until 5 p.m. each weekday in Cassandra’s living room. Dogs welcome.
